my blogging world has been kind of slow lately. except for the arrival of three new bloggers! check out andy, cody, and mike on the left side!

anyhoo, the interview with adaptasoft went pretty well. well enough, in fact, that i got a call back and a second interview on tuesday, may 30th. we'll see how it goes from there. a big thank you to caleb for hosting me last wednesday and thursday (and to austin, luke, gar, ryan, britni, abby).

you may have notice the new background (actually, the lack thereof). what i wanted to do just doesn't seem possible with my limited knowledge of html and css. maybe iframes? i'm still looking for an apt replacement of the unknown hanzi. maybe if i found a chinese dictionary, i could spend the rest of my life and part of someone else's looking for a match.

i just realized that my posts are rarely specific to a topic. if i did that, i'd have a lot of really short posts. good thing i don't, huh?

i hate titles

well, that didn't work. apparently my plea for nymity spurred your anonymity. for what? spite? it doesn't really mean anything if i don't know who you are. hmmm...whatever.

interview at adaptasoft is set for the 18th of may. sue will be gone starting that day through june 1st to pack, move and unpack. hopefully katrina and abbie will be able to cover that thursday. abbie was able to extend my stay for another three weeks! that means through june 2nd. probably the same hours each week that i have been working, but three extra weeks! she's still fighting to keep me here as long as possible.

this past weekend went pretty well. thanks to megan for planning it! just a few points:

• arriving late and hungry
• eating spaghetti from a bowl during snack-time
• seeing the "phoenicians"
• losing the backplate of my phone
• late night at aupps'
• decorating cars
• late late night at aupps'
• seeing and talking to people like allison hoerr and andy hoerr at peoria church
• painting
• club #1: white noses
• more painting
• club #2: slapped in the leg with a paint stirrer
• done painting!

good times, good times. anyhoo, to all: have a great week and keep your heart with all diligence! and for some: good luck with finals!

one last thing. you gotta identify yourself. there's already some names of people that i don't know who they are. i mean, i know people by those names (mostly) but not specifically who it is. you don't have to explain why you chose what you did; i just want to know who you are. thanks.

interview

so i got an interview. it's with a company called adaptasoft in none other that the popular town of francesville, indiana. some of you may know of it. my parents came down to visit me on monday past and they came up with the idea. their presence is pretty much the only reason i applied there. well, now they're calling abot an interview and i looked into the company a little more and none of the positions are close to my interest. i'm still going to go to the interview for practice and just to see what they really offer.

the other thing. the l.a. thing. i wouldn't have any income for the three month camp and it costs a few grand to fund those three months including room and board and other fees. so not in june. maybe later in the future.

also, luke finally guessed the big difference i was so excited about. i used percentage widths instead of fixed widths. still working on the background change. it should come soon.
